Jason A. Meloche
Jason Meloche (2010) articled with Benson Percival Brown prior to joining the firm in April, 2010. He spent two years at the top of his class at Ryerson University in the Urban and Regional Planning program before receiving early acceptance into the law school at the University of Ottawa. At the University of Ottawa Jason participated in the student Entertainment Law Group, a mock Ontario Municipal Board hearing as well as a moot competition.
Prior to studying law, Jason spent most of his developmental years as a professional artist, performing in various film, television and theatre projects, including Miss Saigon and Les Miserables. His career as an entertainer took him to incredible cities throughout Europe. Jason was also awarded the FACTOR grant based upon his songwriting abilities. Upon his return to Toronto from Europe in 2005 and after meeting the lawyer Chris Taylor, he decided to pursue a career in the field of law.
Jason is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association as well as the performing rights society ACTRA.
His work at Benson Percival Brown consists primarily of civil litigation, in the areas of defence, negligence and commercial liability for large national companies.
