Courtney
A. Leyland
Courtney A. Leyland (2001) received her LL.B. from the University
of Toronto in 1999. She completed her articles at a prominent
labour and employment law firm.
Following her call to the bar in 2001, Courtney served as
the Chief of Staff to the Honourable David S. Young, Ontario's
Attorney General and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
As Chief of Staff to Minister Young, Courtney oversaw the
policy development and implementation of a number of important
legislative initiatives directed towards improving access
to justice and reforming the civil justice system.
Courtney joined the firm as an associate in January 2004.
She manages a number of her own files, primarily in the area
of insurance defence litigation.
